We stayed at Grassmoor at the end of June for 3 nights.

Shereen (apologies if this is not spelt correctly!) and Rob are lovely people and run a high quality place. It's very obvious that they have gone to great lengths to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay for their guests.

We stayed in Room 4 on the 2nd floor which had a fabulous view over the hills, with a sofa placed perfectly for enjoying it - even on cloudy, rainy days, of which there are plenty in The Lakes!

Grassmoor is very central, but we had no problem finding a parking space whilst we were there, although I can see it might be different during peak times such as school holidays. That being said, most people are there to walk, so if you have to park up the road, it's not really a problem, is it?

For us personally, our stay was made extra special by the care the owners went to for my partner, who is a dairy free coeliac. Oat milk was available in our room fridge for drinks and at breakfast, as well as gluten free cereal, bread for toast and absolutely delicious gluten free sausages, which came from a local butcher.

I cannot say how much of a difference it makes to a stay to know that he has been thought about in advance, rather than as a 'complication' to be dealt with after arriving - we felt very well looked after and we will definitely be back sometime soon, we hope!

Thank you!

The Grassmoor Guest House - what a charming, well appointed guest house! Hauling all our stuff in, we were greeted by the very nice proprietor, Rebecca Christopher. She showed us to our lovely top floor room #4 with views looking out over rooftops to the mountains. Also a nice little surprise were coconut ice squares wrapped in red cellophane and tied with a ribbon sitting on the bed for each of us. The room was so pretty and tastefully decorated, I felt instantly at home. This review is coming a year later, but now I have time to actually sit and review! Nice little ensuite with all the amenities you would need, room for our backpacks and suitcase. Delicious breakfast served in a pretty breakfast room. We will definitely visit Keswick again (so beautiful here) and stay at the Grassmoor! Thank you Rebecca!

Room Tip: I think all the rooms in this house are probably lovely!

The room was lovely and cleaned daily which was a bonus! The gift parcels of ginger cake was a lovely touch and made us smile :) We know Rob and Shareen haven't had it long but they were very welcoming and ensured we were taken care of. The breakfast was delicious - plenty of choice and quality ingredients. The location is perfect and it's so easy to come and go! Would definitely stay again and felt there was a very personal approach that will only get better we think!

Stopped here for 2 nights over the weekend and whilst the room was small it had all that we needed. Breakfast was delicious with a choice for all and even though I am fussy with my food I could not fault it. The hosts were very friendly and welcomed us with a big smile. The location is ideal for sigthseeers, walkers and those who just want to amble around the town. If you do visit this area and you intend to eat out best to book a table as we could not get into a number of the eateries until 9.00pm so we settled for chips from the local chippy which by the way were gorgeous.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at the Grassmoor, this was our second visit and it didn't disappoint the breakfast was fantastic. We had room number 4 which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. Rob and Shareen are lovely, the room was spotless. Having a fridge in your room is a bonus with fresh milk provided everyday. We will definitely be coming back again.

Room Tip: Room 4 has beautiful views
