Me and my partner visited the property for 2 nights which he had booked for my birthday. He mentioned the celebration upon booking expecting nothing extra on arrival. When we got to the lodge we were given a warm welcome straight away & shown to our room. When opening the door we saw that the property owners had laid out cupcakes, birthday banner & balloons on the bed, this was a lovely & thoughtful touch.

The room itself was beautiful with lovely decor. We had facilities to make tea/coffee & biscuits as a snack. The bed was so comfy and I had a great slee each night. The bathroom was equipt with a double spa bath which was great & very relaxing.

Breakfast each morning was well cooked & we had so much to choose from. The owners were so accommodating & could not do enough for you!

Overall, a perfect stay which made my birthday weekend amazing! Thank you very much for the effort and friendliness. I would highly reccommend this place :)

Fantastic half term break - if you want to chill out with a very warm welcome from Andrew and Abigail, this is the place. Wonderful hospitality, comfortable four poster bed and pillows (which were just right), strong hot shower and decent, filter coffee provided in the room. Not to mention the home made cakes! Lovely fluffy white towels and nice thoughtful touches like shower gel, tissues and cotton pads provided - our rooms were refreshed daily also. The house is spotless, warm and in an excellent location within easy walking distance of Bowness and the marina. There is a lovely, well maintained garden to sit and have an afternoon drink or morning coffee. Parking also available. Breakfast was awesome - all freshly cooked to order - the full Cumberland was to die for with a gorgeous little potato cake on the side. The omelettes were fabulous - home made bread toast was scrummy and a lovely fresh fruit salad with granola to start. Home made breakfast muffins came in handy for a snack later in the day! Chocolate chip one morning and apple the next. Went down a treat with the kids. The owners are very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended a walk to Loughrigg Fell - this was stunning! Overall we would thoroughly recommend a stay here - you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. The Powells.

Peaceful, quiet, accessible but not immediately in town, nice neighborhood, breakfast is excellent, lovely gardens, private parking, well-done bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, elegantly decorated bedroom with a four-poster queen bed, all around great!

Room tip: Langdale Pike, Room no.1, has a great bathroom and a four-poster queen-size bed

Situated midway between the Windermere station and the Bowness, this place is off the main market and a oasis of peace and tranquility. Very well maintained, with great thought process in the things in and around the rooms which makes it for a pleasant stay. The hosts are very helpful. BF is optional. No dining. A good place for a great relaxation.
