had to wait to check in as nobody was in so had to wait for the host to be bothered to finally turn up to check us in.
this should have been our first clue and we should have run for the hills and book somewhere else!
this is a bed and breakfast who doesn't do breakfast so really it is just a bed.the room was ok, a bit dull but ok. the hosts were really noisy all we could hear were kids screaming. best advice for future travellers is stay away as the host isn't really friendly, it is just a bed and if you want a nice relaxing stay and a nice host this is not the place for you!

Really nice B&B in an ideal location for exploring the area!
A 5 minute walk takes you into the heart of Bowness with all the pubs and shops and obviously the lake!
We had the top floor room, which was superb, really cosy/homely feel to it and plenty of room. The spa bath was amazing and just what was needed after a long day walking!
Would definatley recommend!

We stayed for one night in the attic room. The room was beautiful and perfect for our stay. Sharon was the perfect host and very welcoming. Location was great and easy walk for both the lake and town centre. Would highly recommend.

This was a fantastic little B&B. The woman who checked us in was so lovely. She also had a cat which is a bonus. The room was lovely even though we had to leave the room to use the toilet, but it was a lovely place in a good location and it was quiet and lovely. Definitely be going again!

Stayed at Annisgarth in the attic room for two nights. The room was absolutely beautiful, very clean and the en-suite bathroom was pristine! The spa bath was amazing and just what we needed after a long day of walking around the lakes. The owner was friendly but not in your face, which suited us perfectly. She was happy to help if she could but didn't try to force recommendations on us. The bed was very comfortable (coming from a couple who take our own pillows with us 'just in case' and didn't need them). I would say that if you like a rock hard mattress then the attic room is not for you. The guest house is just a 5-10 minute walk from shops, bars and restaurants, with parking available on the street. We had to park about a minute away from the door on a busy bank holiday weekend. Will definitely stay again!

Room tip: This is situated up a slight hill, not a problem for us but the area in general is maybe less suited to those with mobility issues.
