A stylishly decorated cafe/ restaurant. The menu offered choice but wasn't overwhelming and at 'Amaretto' flavoured coffees I was sold.
Service with a smile and the food was delivered quickly and was delicious! Had the Cumberland baguette which had some sort of alchemy going on within thanks to melted cheese and chutney. My friend had homemade potato and leek soup; good sized portion and service warm bread.
Highly recommended.

Visited Sugar & Spice Cafe and Bistro on a girly weekend away. I loved the relaxed and super friendly atmosphere in here. The menu caters for all tastes and has very generous portion sizes! The cakes are all homemade and the 'death by salted chocolate' is particularly decadent. Amanda and Jonathan, the new owners, have recently taken over the cafe and have even opened a new adjoining room (Spice Lounge) which showcases the work of local artists, crafts people and their produce - all for sale if anything takes your fancy.
Sugar and Spice welcome locals and visitors alike and I loved it. I will definitely be back :) Please visit if you're ever in the Windermere area, it is a lovely little spot and worth popping in for a brew and a bite to eat!

we popped in to sugar and spice yesterday for some lunch, all the staff were so friendly, cheerful and welcoming....oh .and helpful, when one waitress must of realised by face id never seen that kind of tea brewer before lol she had to explain it to me. but it made awesome tea!
we all agreed the food was lovely, home cooked and fresh.....their coleslaw is to die for!
and at 19 pound, for 3 meals and drinks, we felt very reasonable for what we got. would definitely return.
