We visted the China Beach on the 29th October 2010.We ordered our drinks and was given flat coke asked them to exchange and he just walked away. Our starter came which was edible as we was all very hungry. We was still waiting for the coke when we finished the starter.Called the young waiter over and he said that they have just gone to buy some coke and walked away. One of our meals turned up which we all had a small portion of keeping in mind there was six of us and had another 6 meals to come. After eating that we called over a waitress and asked for a lemonade she said nothing and walked to the bar.We assumed she was going to get one.We sat waiting for another 20 mins and no one had brought the lemonade or any more dishes. We called over what looked like the manager as he was chinese.Told him the situation and told him that we just want to settle the bill.He said that he would sort it.He dissapeared...he didnt come back i had to speak to the little boy again and then he said he was the manager. That we wont be chanrged for the coke and expected us to pay the whole bill.We demanded to see the chinese man then this woman came over and said that she was the manager, explained it all to her.I couldnt believe how she reacted. She said nothing, she sat down and started to calculate what we had ate.We ordered set meals but she was getting the price if you ordered them on your own which costs more. The bill came to £63.00 if everything arrived to the table.I was so frustrated as she hadnt even said that she was sorry she totally ignored us.It wound me up that much i had to walk out and left my sister to sort it iut. When she came out i could not believe she had paid £50.

Avoid this restaurant!!!!!! We were a party of 10 inc 4 children. We ordered drinks from our waiter who referred to everybody as 'Mate' and looked like he was on a young offenders rehabilitation program. Whilst we were being served other customers were complaining about their food taking so long and another member of staff was quizzing the waiter about a mistake he had made...infront of us! Our food was actually quite quick but I suspect it was due to another party walking out and us getting their order. We daren't ask for 3 bills as suspected this would be beyond the staffs brain capabilities.
The Bill arrived (hand written on a piece of lined paper).....it was at that point we discovered that half a coke cost...wait for it......£2.50!!!!! and a pint of coke was £5.00!!!! OMG!!! we weren't in Covent garden!!!! We always used to visit this retaurant when it was Mr Fu's but we will NEVER go there again! Total rip off!!!!!

We were a family of 6 visiting with a family of 3 and asked for separate bills. The bill for the 3 was correct, our bill had all our food and all theit food on it. When we queried it one particular waitress had a disgusting attitude towards us and was reluctant to accept that it was wrong. The soft drinks were incredibly overpriced, as was the food. Two communal bowls of rice arrived at the table followed veryslowly by the main courses, some arrived 20 minutes before others, some were the wrong dishes which meant an even longer wait. The quality of the meat was appalling, the cheapest of the cheap. The toilet roll ran out in the ladies, we asked for more and after a 5 minute wait were given quarter of a toilet roll. This was a terrible meal at a ridiculously high price. I would never eat here again.

Was quite disappointed with this place, which used to be much better in years gone by.

Our beers were served from small (275ml) bottles, one of which wasn't chilled so came with ice. Only Fosters seemed to be on tap.

Atmosphere was some way below par. There were quite a few small flies in the restaurant which was offputting to say the least. Whilst the music kept skipping and we witnessed a couple of staff having a minor altercation. Surprisingly for a Chinese we didn't see any Chinese staff around!

It's a shame because, with the exception of the rice, the food was adequate. Likewise the location is good for the pleasure beach and big blue. All in all then I'd classify this place as a bit of a wasted potential.
