last two visits to Doric have been disappointing, so much so, think it might be the last time we go, but we have said that before!! room was soooo hot, did ask reception if someone could look at radiator as i couldnt turn it down, but still waiting, 4 course meals have gone to 3 course meals and because it was quiet when we were there only one fish, one meat to choice from. Staff as always, brilliant!!!! bathroom dated and beds not that comfy, Even ones in the Margaret ann suite, or Ann Margaret, whatever its called are very uncomfy!!! and may as well forget the wifi!!

Room Tip: family rooms come at no extra charge if you insist. and they have them

Went to Doric hotel for my birthday the hotel was very clean and well maintained the staff all worked very hard and were very friendly and helpful . We stayed in a bay view room which was very clean but the bed was very uncomfortable . The food was excellent with good choice . Xmas dinner was delicious . The entertainment let it down was very amateurish ! The best night was the last night but we had seen them at another hotel .

Only visited 2 nights but a friendly place to stay the meals were nice but delivery at break neck speed ,the bar and restaurant area was light and airy and all the staff were delightful and the price we payed was worth every penny but the only thing that let the hotel down was the rooms, the one we stopped in was to be fair very tired and could have done with freshening up but the bed was the worst thing about the room the mattress was so thin and uncomfortable, once improvements are made in this area it would be pleasure to stay again

Just back from Doric hotel and am sorry to say but I think this has to be the worst new year I have spent here and I have been going for the last few years the entertainment on the night was definitely not a party atmosphere comedian was awful but Rikki Arron the Elvis impersonator was brilliant but when he finished that was it most people went to bed also the food choice was not as good as my friends and myself could not eat most of it but James was on hand to help with this so managed to get something that we could eat I would like to thank Toni Stuart George and Peter and James for helping to make the most of our new year a bit better you all done a great job and worked hard I also think for the price for Hogmanay you deserve a really good time I know it’s what you make it but you need proper entertainment to help this along on special occasions.
I would also say that if John and Debbie were left to continue all night without dancers and singer who was not her best on the night it broke the momentum and people started to leave and go to bed so again it was another early night at new year and the to have pyramid was a bad choice not good sorry to say as I don’t like writing bad reviews but this needs to be highlighted and hopefully the next one will be a lot better and more party atmosphere

We have just returned home from a wonderful 4 day Christmas break to the Doric hotel, we were staying in the Doric suite which has a full sea view, the room is very spacious with plenty off wardrobe space, it even has its own fire in the room to switch on if you feel the need off a little more heat. The food in The Doric during our Christmas stay was outstanding and the staff were a credit to the hotel, the entertainment each evening was excellent. We would not hesitate in returning to this fine hotel.

Room Tip: sea view if possible
