i stayed here for 2 nights, 21st and 22nd july with my 4 yr old son.
i was initially going to stay the previous month but my cam belt went and finances were restricted. i had already made the booking for the previous month and when i tried to cancel, the owner, mike, explained the cancellation policy and told me i would lose my deposit of 1 night stay. which i agreed with. but he told me i could move my dates and not lose my deposit. this was the first good sign of a well run business and didnt have a mercinary attitude that you find with alot of things these days.
always a little worried when trying a new place to stay even when i do use tripadvisor. i neednt have worried in the slightest. all the good reviews on here are very accurate. the place is spotlessly clean and well maintained.
we stayed in room 1. its a ground floor twin. the room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. it even had two chairs and a round table in the bay. there was an en suite walk in shower room. again more than adequate.the beds were very comfortable and linen was of a good quality.
opposite room 1 was a lounge area that we didnt use but again looked well laid out and nicely decorated.
the breakfast room was well laid out and again nicely decorated. mike was the chef in the morning and served up a hot, tasty and plentiful breakfast. sally was the waitress and both delivered a very good standard of service, WELL DONE BOTH OF YOU.
the b&b itself is perfectly located for trips to the sandcastle and the pleasure beach. they literally are at the end of the road, about 500 yards if that. also there is a tram stop if you dont fancy the big walk down the front to the tower end. it was only £2.20 for an adult single from south pier to tower.
my son now loves blackpool and i can definately say i will stay here again at branston lodge providing mike and sally are at the helm.

if there was one very slight negative then it would be that guests who want to use the decked area at the front in the late evening need to realise that they are sitting directly outside a bedroom. we had people chatting outside at 10.30pm on the first evening and 11.00pm on the second. this wasnt a problem as we were still awake but if someone stayed there and was in bed earlier and was asleep then this may have caused them to wake up which isnt very fair. so please be considerate of other guests in that bedroom if you use the decked area in the late evening.

once again well done mike and sally

I planned a short trip to Blackpool together with my son. I had no idea where we should stay and guided by the reviews I ended up at Branston Lodge. We had the 2 single bed room at the ground floor, a nice clean, neat and spacious room with bathroom ensuite. Mike and Sally made you really feel welcome. If I go back to Blackpool, this will be my place to stay.

Just home from a great stay at Branston Lodge. We will definitely be back next time we go to Blackpool. Mike and Sally were the perfect hosts and very helpful providing tips about the area. We stayed in family room which was a great size with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The whole place was absolutely spotless. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, Mike cooked the breakfast perfectly and Sally was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was ideal just a few mintues walk from the Pleasure Beach. Thanks again for a brilliant stay.
