I booked this hotel as a staging post when taking my mother up to Scarborough from West Sussex - too far to drive all the way after work on a Friday eve after work.
It was suitably close to J21 of M1 and we arrived 10pm. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. I'd read on here that the room had interconnecting rooms so had called up after making online booking and they were very helpful in reserving 2 such rooms which we did get ground floor - family rooms 19 and 21. Smart modern decor in usual Premier Inn style and same with bathroom. No worrying traffic noise despite warnings on website. Comfy bed and duvet.
My only minor complaint (as per their Borough Market London hotel which I stayed in recently so perhaps standard) is no hand towel ring or rail beside sink. It hangs over far end of bath with bath towels unless you leave it slung damp on surface behind loo. Silly thing but frustrates me as plenty of wall space for a hook or ring.
As we wanted an early start we were first at door of Observatory restaurant next door when it opened 7am. Manager was welcoming and helpful.
Enjoyed our brief stay and will continue to use Premier Inn as £45 we paid per room was good value.
