Popped in for a pint after completing a near by breakout game.
For a town centre pub it had a local pub feel.
Good range of real ale and all reasonable priced.
2 big tv’s for sport.
For a Thursday night before good Friday it was strangely quiet, not sure if thats the norm

A visit into Liverpool city centre is not complete without a visit to The Victoria Cross Pub as it always offers some well kept real ales.
This is a lovely well presented pub,spotlessly clean with great decor and furnishings,the statue behind the bar of the soldier carrying his fallen comrade looks awesome,there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub and Tv's to enjoy the sport,all in all its a great place to enjoy a beer or two.
We were here on a Thursday afternoon and this place was packed with a cracking atmosphere,after a quick study of the beers on offer I opted to have Big Bog Brewing Company Hinkypunk 4.1% and this delicious real ale was served in tip top condition,we luckily managed to get a table were we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub.
The real ale was outstandingly good,a light and hoppy real ale bursting with taste and very drinkable indeed.
We only stayed for the one real ale before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
The Victoria Cross Pub is really easy to locate by walking down Victoria Street and it's on the corner of Sir Thomas Street.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday,11am till 11pm.
Friday &Saturday,11am till Midnight.
Sunday,Closed.
A great pub and well worth checking out.

First time we have been in here. It is a really nice pub to come in and have a few beers. Empty glasses are taken away quickly and everywhere is kept clean and tidy. Good if you are ex military as lots of memorabilia about. Very reasonable prices, only one small complaint, gents are a very tight squeeze
