Great little pizzeria tucked away in Blackfriars Lane close to Blackfriars Station. This really is a pizzeria rather than an Italian restaurant. Had dinner on a Friday evening. Great selection of pizzas and a few pasta and risotto dishes, all at very reasonable prices. We all had excellent pizzas so I can’t comment on the other dishes. Nice atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Only downside was that they had run out of 2 of the desserts we wanted – including tiramisu! - so we had to choose alternatives.

This is the fourth time I've eaten at this place, but the first with my husband. This is a small intimate restaurant tucked away in Black Friars Lane and it serves delicious, home made and piping hot food. The menu isn't huge but there is still plently of choice from pizza and pasta to vegetarian mains and salads. The wine is good too. Try the local house red! The staff are attentive and the place is always busy but they seem to manage to attend to everyone without being overbearing or neglecting customers. A real diamond of a place.

This was a nice find. I've been there several times now, for dinner, and each time have had the 'special'. The risotto is a particular favourite. It has a genuinely Italian feel. The only drawback is the occasional ghastly 'office party' - that aside, the restaurant is quiet and civilised. I would certainly recommend it for a pleasant evening meal with friends. The wine is decently priced and good quality. The Chianti is my favourite. The staff are friendly and the service prompt and efficient. Our waitress last night, Carola, was charming and helpful. Price for a meal for two with wine and grappa, around £70/80.

Came as part of a large party on a work lunch. The pizzas were tasty (but the edges which weren't covered with topping were ballistic-missile-hard); however, the description on the menu doesn't necessarily match what you get. I ordered a Campagnola and din't expect to get artichokes and an egg on it! Also, the 'Pavarotti' and 'Michelangelo', when asked, are "surprise", ie whatever's left over on the chopping board. Hmm. The service was somewhat brusque, but speedy.

I found this on TripAdvisor while waiting for a friend at Blackfriars station. It was very near and had good reviews. We were the only two in there at first but it filled gradually. It obviously used to be a pub and retains the bar. The choices were good and we opted to share two types. The house red wine was from my favourite region of Italy, Puglia and did not disappoint. Warm, tasty and comforting. Like the meal!
