We took chance of the three course menu plus a cocktail for £40 at Searcrys. It was absolutely perfect. The dining room is in floor 39 of the Gherkin warranting brilliant unseen views of London (spring light made it daytime still at 6:45pm fading into dark). We thought being nice and fancy would make the food come second best. It was not. We had a smoked salmon starter on toast, delicious. The sourdough bread and butter was likely amazing. For mains the venison was cooked to perfection: juicy, tender and it melted away in your palate. With hardly any space left we went for cheese dessert again perfect pairing with green apple slices.

After dinner you’re escorted upstairs to floor 40 for a drink with a view, what else to top up a perfect evening?

First time visit to this restaurant. Thoroughly recommend it for an excellent meal with attentive, friendly staff and good service. We had 3 course lunch with cocktail.
Weather not brilliant (raining) but still a reasonable view. Go upstairs after your meal to have coffee and a different view of the the city and the Tower of London.

We went for London Restaurant Festival and have to say it was incredible.

The tables are first come first served and as we had an early table we were sat right next to the window with the full view of the entirety of London. It was amazing. We also arrived in time for sunset, and then sat and watched as the lights of London switched on - rather magical.

The food was great, a mozzarella and beetroot starter, then beef cheek main. Service was fab. Go early if you want the best table and also pre-book a space at the bar if you want to go up there before or after (you cant just walk up there annoyingly). You can also buy lunches as gifts online, i think it's £75 for 2 people so quite reasonable and make great presents!

Go, you wont regret it!

This was my second time here in the space of 12 months and again, it was a corporate event although this time instead of a sit-down meal with waiter service, we had a selection of finger food and mini meals which included salmon in a heavy ragu; rare steak with chunky chips, risotto and a wide selection of other dishes.

Visited for Sunday brunch with another couple for a special celebration, excellent. Food, service and Champagne all very good. Moved upstairs for an after dinner drink. Only complaint/observation is the service charge, I don't need to be reminded to leave a tip but I would prefer to have the choice.
