gavin and stacey tour in barry
was just ok spent 30 mins going to a caravan site and the caravan wasn't there so was a bit of a waste of time. then went to a church which was good and then 30 mins at a pub which wasn't even used in the series and had a quiz which was just shouting out answers on the bus not like an actual quiz which we expected. we went to gwens house which was the highlight of the tour. and then drove around barry the tour guide pointed out stuff like the local morrisions and mentioned near by filming sites which we didn't see and then got dropped off in barry island. the bus air con wasn't the best and it was very packed which made me more uncomfortable during covid but the day was nice but just wasn't 100% worth the money as one location was a field

A treasure trove of information! The tour was pretty much dead on 2.5 hours. Our guide Fiona was wonderful. Very energetic and bubbly and so knowledgeable too (with great themed accessories).
You start off outside the Paddington shop at the railway station and end in Portobello Road. I would highly recommend getting there prior to the tour start time as you will not get a chance to do any Paddington related shopping otherwise.

Wear comfy shoes and take snacks as it's pretty fast paced. Fiona was very considerate of some in the group who had prams as there were a few sets of stairs and bridges to navigate. There is a bus ride before the last stop so make sure you have a form of travelcard.
Highlights included seeing Little Venice, which I've always wanted to and never got round to, Michael Bond's house, and the lovely story about the letter.

Great Doc Martin tour around Port Isaac, beautiful place, good weather on that day. Paul was great with the history of the town also.

My husband and I attended the Gavin and Stacey Tour in Barry Island…. From start to finish was brilliant, the host and Dave the Coach-driver made it such a fun and informative 3 hours…. And not forgetting to meet Glenda made it a truly unforgettable experience
