Reviewed 21 July 2017

The room my wife and I got put in was down several stairways and not actually attached to the hotel (Room 117)
The door lock didn't operate properly and the handle had to be turned up in order to lock the door with a key. The door had to be locked with the key on the inside when we were there so we had to leave the key in the door in case we needed to evacuate the room.
The rooms do not have phones so the receptionist had to come and knock on the door for wake up calls. We could not contact our daughters and their families (staying in the same hotel) because of a lack of phones.
In the bathroom there were no wash cloths and the soap was attached to the shower wall and the tile floors in the shower were very slick so we had to put one of the towels on the floor so we did not slip and fall.
Several evenings when we returned to the hotel, the female receptionist was sitting on the front steps smoking a cigarette. very unprofessional.
It was so hot in the room, window stuck open, that we had to ask the receptionist for a fan so we could sleep.
We never felt totally safe or comfortable.

Room Tip: Unless you are truly just trying to save money, stay elsewhere

Dear Mr williams

117 is an excellent room situated in the rear and in the garden its large and has a oversized bath room . Zero road/ hotel noise and always in the shade .

I must apologise for the receptionist smoking in the front entrance door I have asked her to stop and have send her a copy of your review .
We are 100% non smoking hotel so people who need to smoke are asked to do so in the street .
On the other matter you mention the door not working properly I assure you it is a 4 bolt external door used for most houses as the main door therefore extremely secure and works 100 % well how you felt unsafe is quite strange

If you had a need for more towels you just need to ask as you did for the fan we have no issues about offering extra things like that .

Its a shame you kept your objections quite as we would have done something to make your stay better and you would not have needed to write a poor review .

PS Most people never use our internal phone system they carry mobile phones and we have free internet so contact is easy and free but i am sorry we don't have internal phone system for people like you who don't carry mobiles .

best regards
Nitesh

Situated nicely, near the Victoria Train Station or within a 15-20 minute walk of Westminster, this Hotel was convenient and well presented. The room was, like many central London rooms, quite small, but functional. There was a TV, Tea/Coffee and complimentary Wi-Fi, which is always a must. The Wi-Fi was pretty intermittent though and whilst general web browsing was ok, I was unable to stream any TV without constant interruptions of service. There is a decent en-suite shower room, which looked great and has everything you need, but was hugely let down by the very weak water pressure for the shower.
The bed was both a good size and very comfortable and I slept well.
The Full English Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and the fresh coffee was good, but the choice for the Continental option appeared to be very limited.
For price and location this Hotel can't be faulted and if the showers could get higher pressure it would be great.

We visited just to sleep one night and have a breakfast in the morning. Upon walking in it looked quite nice then when you get in the lift it starts looking cheap. Got into our room, bathroom didn't smell very nice and the shower was horrible. The bedroom was okay, small but I expected that. Some places in the room weren't very clean and I found a hair on the bed. Cheap coffee and tea which tasted horrible. Okay nights sleep it was quite hot but didn't want to open window because of noise. Went for breakfast in the morning and it was pretty horrible, I had continental and all I could really choose from was bread, crumpets and two cereals! My partner had a full English but there was barely anything on the plate.. I wouldn't return or recommend to anyone.

Reception staff helpful and location good for Pimlico tube station.
Our basement triple room was very very very dated No ventilation. Bathroom serves its purpose but tiny and dated. Beds comfortable but bedding and furnishings all dated as well.
For £100 for one night, this is well overpriced.

This hotel has amongst the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The place has a hostel feel which is reflected in fixture and fittings. No chair or desk to put your belongings on here! No aircon on hot evening made for open window necessity. The police sirens competed with the cats for who could wail the loudest. Not a place I will return to as better value elsewhere.

I am happy to read your comments about your recent stay with us. sorry you managed to book on the hottest day in London ...
Air con is a luxury in the 3 star market i wish we could have it but constraints from the council mean we are refused planning
We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
