At first we thought this was going to be a bit boring. 2 hours of walking seemed unlikely to entertain the whole time. Fortunately, we were proven 100% wrong.

The tour starts out by visiting the various points where Jack The Ripper committed his murders, including explanations of the gruesome details, with brutal photos (using "Ripper Vision") to boot.

As the tour progresses, the charismatic host (who is like spit out of a movie, worth the price of admission alone) draws you deeper and deeper into the mystery, gradually suggesting that history may have missed some major clues in the Jack The Ripper case.

One of the highlights is when we are brought into Prostitution Alley, in the dirtiest part of East End London, for an explicit demonstration of what happened there. Chillingly authentic.

Then, when you think the whole tour is over; the host tells you he is going to wrap things up with his own conclusions....and THAT is when it gets really crazy.

Using his brilliant talents as an educated historian, and then throwing in a completely unexpected personal connection that explains his fascination with, and understanding of, Jack The Ripper, he reveals what actually happened, including revealing things about the tour we just finished that changes EVERYTHING....we were literally biting our nails at this point, it was like sitting at a who-done-it movie, awaiting to see who the murderer really wis.

When he finally revealed everything, a collective gasp could be heard throughout our group of about 30 people; we all looked at each other and gasped in awe. We walked away from the tour with the feeling of having been part of something very special.

The next time you're in London, whatever you do, no not miss this tour, it's an unforgettable experience.

We visited London/UK for two weeks in September. One of our goals was to do a Jack the Ripper tour. Luckily we had Mick Priestley as our tour guide! He was great, super knowledgeable on the subject, and he interests in the crimes showed through. He made it a point to accurately portray how the crimes took place, and based his tour on facts. I was so impressed with his tour that I bought his book "One Autumn in Whitechapel." So if you decide to check out a Jack the Ripper, see if you can request Mick! You won't be disappointed!

It's a shame I can't remember the guide who took us on the tour but he was fantastic, it was a very large but he had absolutely no issues projecting his voice and making sure everyone could here. It was clear he lived and breathed the subject matter he was talking about with and answer to every question and almost encyclopedic knowledge of the topic. Pictures helped get the story across with great detail as well. Fortunately most of the buildings in the area remain unchanged so you can get a true sense of what it would have been like.

Considering the price this is a must do for people interested in the Ripper story.
