Our tour began in Whitechapel and was exactly what we were hoping for. Our guide Mick was extremely knowledgeable on the subject but also sensitive to any qualms any of us might have. He gave warning on anything gruesome that he might be showing and answered all questions in detail. Great night!

My husband and I booked this tour because of the "Rippervision" feature and after taking the tour, we're convinced it definitely sets it apart from the other Jack the Ripper tours.

Lizzy was our guide and she was wonderful. She gave details and insight into the locations and backgrounds of the victims without being exploitative or overly gruesome yet managed to drive home the point of the brutality of these crimes.

What I especially liked about the Rippervision feature was that despite the changes made in the neighborhood and buildings around the crime scenes, we were able to see photographic overlays of how the East End appeared at the time of the murders. It really helped set the tone and give a better understanding of the area and economic situation that the residents lived in.

I definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing the area where the Jack the Ripper murders took place and hopefully, you'll be fortunate enough to have Lizzy as a guide.

I love history, and to stand where things have happened and try to feel the experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and, at time, graphic, in his detail. I enjoyed it. I think it was a bit graphic for my companions. That's not a criticism, it's just a warning for any faint of heart. My ONLY suggestion would be to have a map to go with the tour. He was showing us around, but to try to put things in to prospective was difficult because you were so focused on trying to stay with the group on some of the more crowded streets as you moved from one location to another. I really enjoyed the tour and guide was fantastic.

Our tour started right along the Whitechapel High Street and immediately plunged us into Victorian London on an alley which didn’t appear to have changed since the 1880s. Our guide Mick was fantastic, and told the story of these crimes in great and lively detail. Numerous other tours were out at the same time, but Mick took us to several spots these were not going, and hearing their guides in passing, it seemed like we had by far the best experience. At the end we learned that our guide has written a new book about the murders, “One Autumn in Whitechapel”. Extremely detailed and very well written, this is a fantastic compliment to the tour and a steal at 12 pounds!
