The Arosfa is a fairly small family run hotel in a reasonably quiet typical North London street, conveniently close to the British Museum. The attic family suite with two bedrooms a kitchenette and ample space proved to be a super base for our family of 5 (at that time 3 boys of 15, 13 and 9) to discover London from. Mind however that there are a few steps to climb...

The service provided at Arosfa exceeded our expectations. We didn't expect to receive such personalised service. Attila and Tessa really went the extra mile to make sure that we were well taken care of. If you're looking for more than just a place to rest, Arosfa is definitely the place to choose. What you'll get there is more than just bed and breakfast, you'll leave with a wonderful experience.

We just spent a week in London at the Arosfa. What a great hotel: clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast, helpful and welcoming staff (Attila and Tessa are wonderful), great location. Next time we're in London we will definitely stay at the Arosfa; can't wait to go back!

As the last hotel of my UK trip, I was understandbly rather tired. But as soon as I entered, I was welcomed by a friendly operator, who immediately made me feel at home. And throughout my three days I was always greeted with a smile and welcome whenever I went to breakfast, left for the day, and came back. The single room I got was comfy for one person, clean and well stocked with tea. The hotel was also very nicely decorated with paintings, made me feel as if I was in a much more expensive hotel. The place is well connected to the tube and trains, plus I had no problem getting a cab! (and as a plus for a BBC Sherlock fan like me, within very close walking distance to Speedy's and Russell Square!)

Room Tip: Maybe asking for a room away from the stairwell can help a bit on the noise

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
