Owner description: There's a world of enjoyment at Battersea Park Children's Zoo. From feeding the farm animals, spying on the meerkats in the secret lookout, children will have hours of fun. With monkeys, snakes, pigs, donkeys, ring tailed lemurs, parrots, rabbits, emu, chipmunks, coati, wallabies and chickens, plus a fun-packed adventure playground with a real tractor and fire engine, it's a great family day out.

My children aged 10, 4 and 2 had the best time at Battersea zoo.. The zoo was not too large for them to overwhlem or exhaust them and had enough animals to entertain them greatly. They especially loved the children's play area with its wide array of games. One of our best days in London

Firstly the price - £34 for two seniors, an adult and her two and a half year old son - for a children's playground (with several pay extra "amusements") and an uninspiring collection of small animals - so not worth it.
Limited information on surprisingly few animals on view. Little boy enjoyed pretend driving the old tractor but otherwise a complete waste of money. Will not be going again.
Battersea Park itself is nice (and free)

Great little place for kids and families! Fairly cheap for the area too, I thought it would cost a lot more being on doorstep of expensive Chelsea.. but very affordable and fun on a sunny day.. on a colder day I would reconsider though as most of the (practically all animals) were outdoors.. little tiny cafe' too on grounds for a snack or a cold/hot drink but not a massive choice, like I said it's only a small caffè..
I found it more fun for little boys with fire engine being there to play with and climb into to too, water guns and little boat race available (it costs you £1/each go and lasts about two minutes I would say so don't get carried away but have some spare change with you)..
On a warm or hot summer day you could spend there a lot longer, and when you leave there is a nice park leading out too- so possibly picnic before ahead or after?.. and as you leave the zoo the view is nice it being located by the river (possible boat watching too however I didn't see any passing at the time I was there).. anyway, would recommend

I found that the knowledge of the Zoo Keepers were very informative and we were able to understand everything they told us about each animal. The park was very well set out, and the children`s play park was wonderful.
