Went for lunch... service patchy, though pleasant. My friend's pie arrived cold. When the waiter took it away for reheating, I mentioned that he might as well take mine too, as it would just get cold as I waited for his... This was ignored. My friend's pie returned, now charred in the middle. Mine was tepid but as service was slow, we just got on with it. We were given a 'discount', which turned out to be the price of one double G n T - yep, a tenner... Unbelievable. Obviously they think they can get away with anything.

We found this on Cask Finder. Nice pub. Decent real ale. Not too touristy, in spite of the location.

We had booked as part of a group with our menu choices provided to the management in advance. When our group arrived, they had the tables reserved, but apparently the management and the menu had changed. It worked out in the end, although the Rosemary-Salted Fries (American-style fries) seemed cold and under-cooked. The Falafel Burger was very good, however. Hopefully, the new management will get the kinks worked out as there is a lot of potential here. The recreation of Sherlock Holmes’s office was fun to see, too.

Great Sherlock Holmes themed restaurant (also referred to as the Greene King pub.) Have rooms decorated to look like rooms in the Baker St set of the Sherlock Holmes TV series. Very near the British Museum. Food was great and not too pricey. We tried fish & chips, beef & bone marrow pie, and roasted chicken. All winners.

Nice old grimy place. Could clean outside and inside occasionally. Great Guinness. Probably was better many years ago; maybe they should investigate how to improve in cleanliness...
