The hotel is very worn and desperately in need of modernization. Lobby is OK but hallways seem worn. There are cracks in the walls, marks on the doors, missing floorpanels in the stairwells etc. Room furniture is old. TV is not even flat and 4:3, so text messages in shows which nowadays are all designed for 16:9 are unreadable. Hot water faucet by the sink did not work.
Staff are helpful and quite nice. Check-in and check-out was smooth.
Breakfast is very basic but not bad. A nicer breakfast with hot food can be bought for £5 extra per person.
All in all the hotel is not up to the standard I would expect when paying £100 per night.More
