Location of hotel was good, a stones throw from Hyde park and Paddington train station so was a very convenient place to stay. Upon arrival man at desk was helpful, booking.com had my details incorrect and we were in a small room with a two year old, given an upgrade to a slightly bigger room, which was small but wasn't a bother for us as it was just a place to rest overnight whilst we visited London attractions. The room itself was ok, wouldn't say 4 star, quite dated decor and the window was a full bay window that opened up completely onto a balcony (ish) that was crumbling. It wasn't particularly safe so we had to keep it closed, with the heating on most of the time we were there it was rather warm! The bathroom was faultless, basic and functional. Tea and coffee and a hairdryer were provided. The bed wasn't overly comfortable so didn't have a great nights sleep, the pillows could do with a refresh as they are rather lumpy. Wifi was offered but the password wasn't written anywhere in the room. The breakfast was ok. Again wouldn't say 4 star. Mini crossaints cereals toast and ham/cheese slices out for picking with the basic cooked breakfast (one sausage, two bacon egg, one hash brown and tomato) overall id rate it 3. It was an ok hotel stay, wouldn't recommend it as a 4 star hotel, as it could do with an update
