It was excellent considering the price! The woman running it was really nice, the tube station was a five minute walk and the room even had a fridge and en suite (with a warm power shower). Recommend!

Room was basic but had everything you needed including a TV and was en suite. Bed very comfy, and bathroom very clean. The woman running it was absolutely lovely. Perfect for a London break and would definitely go back there.

For £36 you really can't expect much, but the Trinity House Hotel is superb value.
The room (number 10) was fine with an en-suite shower and toilet, a wardrobe, a TV, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. It was warm (radiator worked fine) but without A/C, you need to open the window which lets the noise in.It was a bit noisy but the hotel is on a busy main street.

The fittings were rather cheap, with a plywood bathroom door and partially-painted walls.

Breakfast is from 0800 to 0900 and that means 'finished by 9am', not 'turning up at 08.55'. This was our only real issue. The breakfast was a bit Meh... slice of white bread/toast, instant coffee/tea, glass of orange juice.

The hotel feels safe and although the manager struggles a bit with English, she is friendly.

It is important to turn up with the booking form in hard copy as she needs it to claim the money from the booking company. If you don't have it, she will expect you to go to an internet cafe and print it out or fax it to her.

The hotel is close to bus stops to Stratford and St James Street (to Liverpool Street) and Blackhorse Road tube (Victoria Line) are three and seven minutes walk away, respectively.

Yes, the hotel could be improved a lot, but then the price starts edging up.

Some of the 1-star and 2-star reviews for this hotel are ridiculous...it charges less than a third of the cheapest of the cheap hotels, folks! It's clean, safe and it's a bed for the night. The continental breakfast in those hotels is upwards of £8 in London. You're getting a room for £36-50, for goodness sake.

Good place if you expect no frills and don't plan to spend much time in. Small room with basic equipment (fridge, TV, fan) and private bathroom (could be possibly refurbished/renovated). Bed linen and towels clean. Comfy beds but quite heavy street traffic may impact your sleep.
Basic continental breakfast.
Convenient location location in zone 3, close to the underground, bus stop close to the property. The landlady was very nice and helpful, attending to our needs.
