Tiny sushi restaurant with only 12 seats. Amazing personal service with Igor the owner will love to tell you everything about the history of the place and the dishes. As the location is out of London the prices are bearable however slightly expensive. Nonetheless they are worth the quality and the amazing taste. To have a proper dinner for 2 expect to spent approx. £100 including drinks. Overall if you around the area it's definitely worth it.

For veggies, suchi places usually don't have a lot of appeal. All that fishy stuff and if you say you're a veggie don't expect much of a welcome.

The Rock Star Suchi Bar really is a find, tucked away in the depths of Merton Abbey Mills in Merton and where you almost certainly need to ring in advance and book.
They only open Fridays through Sunday in the off season so that makes it even more exclusive.

Is it worth it? Most certainly. Hosted by the charming Igor who makes veggies feel normal in his place, you can expect some excellent dishes that will almost reconcile you to the Suchi thing.

There's a really good veggie selection all superbly presented, and the quality is outstanding.

There are only about a dozen places which is why you have to book in advance and Igor will give you highly personal service and tell you everything you need to know about what's on offer.

For actual Suchi enthusiasts this place will be highly memorable--so go there!
Just be aware that you pay for the quality.

Me and my partner went here with my family for our 30th birthdays. The sushi was incredible, it's all so fresh and so much care and effort made. The owner had so much knowledge and passion and was very friendly and welcoming as were his staff. We had a sushi boat with all the rolls, beautiful sashimi and I think everything that was on the menu. It was all so tasty and was brought out bit by bit so we had a lovely relaxed evening and would recommend it to anyone who likes sushi. Fantastic birthday. Thank you.

This is a really good sushi restaurant, and the main things that mark it out are:

1. Staff are happy to take time out to explain dishes, and how true, authentic sushi is made, even down to the soy sauce.
2. There is no dreaded 2-hour limit on tables, but if you do go, be mindful it's a small place and best not to "linger" after you've eaten your sushi.
3. It's a small place and you won't be "forgotten" by the staff
4. The variety is good, and you'll get to try things which places like Sake No Hana, Zuma, Roka do not offer
5. It's remarkably cheap for the quality, the food tastes superior
6. The service charge all goes to the staff.

It is a bit out of the way, so do plan your journey there, best to get there from Colliers Wood station, and allow time to get there.

Our trip was a memorable one - we learnt a lot about authentic sushi and we shall definitely be back.

We had another great visit to this wonderful Sushi Bar. Only 12 seats available so you really need to book in advance. They only open for Friday (dinner only), Saturday and Sunday.
Amazing service and food quality and very extensive sake wine list. Must return.
