Having eaten at Verraswamy and Amaya, this group's other two Indian restaurants in London, both of which were excellent, Chutney Mary's is the absolute best. I have also eaten at some other great Indian restaurants like Cinnamon Club in London, and one of my favorites Vij's in Vancouver. You'd be hard pressed to find any better than Chutney Mary's--maybe some equal like a few mentioned, but none better.

Our mains, the monkfish, lobster biryani and duck were all fantastic. The duck was so good just on its own--tender and tasty but with the sweet chutney, it was transcendent. The monkfish had a spicy blended chutney that highlighted the tender flavorful fish. The scallops starter were sweet as can be with a great slightly sweet sauce.

I had eaten at Guilon several nights before which was very very good but not in the same league as Chutney Mary's

Following its move from the kings road chutney marys is right back to sparkling form in its new Mayfair swanky home. The quality of the cooking and the service are peerless. Is this the capital's finest Indian restaurant or is it veeraswamys?!

The restaurant is lovely, with beautiful decor, elegant but relaxed atmosphere. The service is superb, the staff makes effort to make you feel special and they really look after all guests. The food was beyond my expectations, I've never tasted anything like it. I'm very fond of Indian cuisine, but this was something else - you could almost taste the care and effort going into the preparation. The dishes had just the right amount of spices in them to know it was 'curry' but nothing had the burning effect. Indian cuisine with a twist. We tried tasting menu (without the wine) and it was a good choice as we were able to sample few more dishes. We ordered venison somosa as an extra - this is a must if you visit. I would also recommend their cocktails. It is without doubt very pricey, but the whole experience (not just food) was worth every penny.

The food is absolutely delicious and the service excellent. It is a bit expensive but we went for lunch so felt it was reasonable considering the quality of the food, location and outstanding service.

The decor is beautiful with adequate space between the tables which adds to the dining experience.
