We had Not been here for some years. Lovely welcoming staff. We had a voucher for free oysters which were delicious. Partner had prawns and chilli and the specials halibut. Really delicious but the samphire was a bit woody, I usually break these bits off before cooking. I had the oysters and seafood tagliatelle which was great, only shame was the length of time between starter and main, 45 mins which might be ok for dinner but at lunch we had other things to do so was a bit too long and we’d run out of wine and water. However they were very understanding about our wait and reduced the bill accordingly which was nice. All in all delicious fresh seafood and lovely staff.

Overall atmosphere was nice. Food was good but not spectacular. Service was slow. On the whole, I'd say it's nice for seafood but not the best place in Norwich.

On business so dropped in with some customers for a light bite, early evening and was very pleasantly surprised. Had a selection of 'tapas' dishes in the form of king prawns, beetroot with cream cheese and chives, samphire with garlic butter and spinach etc. All delicious and served with grace and humour by our lovely Portugese waiter. The recommended wine was super and it was a great experience. I would definitely return, there was a great atmosphere and tables of all ages and sizes from quite a large party of perhaps 8 to several couples. Next time I would try the mussels as they looked divine!

We were greeted by a lovely waitress, and seated right away. My friend decided on the set lunch menu and had the ham salad followed by fish pie. She was pleased with both and the included glass of wine. I had the fish soup starter with side ceaser salad. It was lovely, yet the soup could have been a bit hotter. The salad was packed full of anchovies and dressing was well balanced.

Lovely interior and welcoming staff. The fisherman's stew with all the accompaniments was fabulous while others in our party had the roast sea bass which was declared excellent. The puddings were almost another level. Despite no clementine tart (shame!) the treacle tart was scrummy but best of all was the hot and cold chocolate pudding ensemble, judged divine! Our waitress was so helpful, knowledgeable and generally lovely. For a first time visit we were really impressed and will definitely come back.
