Good Friday is always a trial by fire to see how a restaurant can cope. Beautifully in this case. We chose The Fisherman's Wife initially because it seemed to be the only place in Whitby that served Oysters which my husband enjoyed while I looked the other way. Plenty of good staff kept things running smoothly. We tried the pan fried Sea Bass on crab mash at £14.95 and pan fried Haddock on crushed potato with pea puree at £14.99. Both were sweet and delicious. It overlooks the sea which always adds to the flavour. ( Liked the beach huts on the toilets seats too.) Must be one of the best places to eat in Whitby.
