Having read a number of the other reviews I can agree with many of the comments. Firstly, the lack of a card machine is a definite drawback, luckily I did have some cash with me, but normally this would have been a problem for us. The prices aren't cheap, but I didn't think they were hugely over the top either. The waterfall is beautiful, but the view could be better with a bit of work.

We parked in the main car park, and walked down the path to the sound of the waterfall, the signage could definitely be improved, and the path is not that well defined in terms of where you are supposed to go, this was also the same from the main road where it forks.

We had a nice drink, and our little girl loved playing in the children's play area. The service was friendly toilets were clean. We will no doubt return when we are back in the area.

Located in a beautiful location, the tea room looked lovely. Unfortunately was unable to sample the food as they don’t accept any form of electronic payment. As their prices aren’t cheap they really need to look into this issue. Come on guys it’s 2018 and debit card payments are more popular than cash now!!

We visited with 2 young children and had a (mainly) lovely time. We were pleasantly surprised to find the car park was free but you have to walk down the hill from there to the tea room and waterfall - it’s a good 10min, relentless uphill climb back to the car park at the end of the visit. We headed off for a walk through the woods along a little stream which we really enjoyed, we walked some distance then turned around and came back as we weren’t really sure where the path headed. There was a definite path which was comfortable walking for us as adults and for our 4 year old but it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who isn’t steady on their feet and isn’t pushchair suitable (we have a baby but used a carrier which was a must). The area is very beautiful and the tea room is a very pleasant setting but the view of the actual waterfall seemed limited (we may not have found the best viewing point, we stayed close to the tea room to view). We ordered 3 sandwiches (2 adult, 1 child) plus drinks which came to £20 which shocked us a bit! I think it was the high price of cold drinks which really put the cost up. Decided not to go back for cake unfortunately due to the amount we’d paid but the scones looked good. The bacon (on blt sandwich) was delicious though.

Beautiful woodland walks with a lovely little tea room, very good homemade sandwiches and hot options. Dogs loved it and so did we" Worth taking cash however as they are very much off grid and are unable to accept card payments

Visited here on our way to sandsend beach, waterfall is beautiful - shame you cant get closer but the surrounding area is fab and very fairytake like. The cafe is lovely and reasonably priced. Wouldnt recomend a buggy, we had our little one in a baby carrier which was fine.

Definatkey worth a visit!
