Hotel room itself was fine, nothing special but nothing bad really. Bar lovely, staff very good. "Fitness Room" about the size of a small bathroom with a cross trainer and no more! Restaurant though was first class, small but brilliant menu and good service.

My wife booked a night for my birthday and a meal in the restaurant. We had a garden room which was small yet well equipped, bose stereo huge bed and fridge. The view from the room which leads out to the garden is fantastic. Great views over nottingham and surprisingly quiet. Great location 5 min walk from centre of Nottingham. Staff very friendly and welcoming! Overall an excellent visit. Joining restaurant was exceptional and the breakfast was top notch! Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year.
The staff on reception welcome you with open arms and could not have been more helpful.
The bedrooms are not over large, nor the beds, but the standards throughout the hotel are 5 star, and service excellent.
It's position in relation to the city centre is very good, plus it has its own car park , although a bit expensive it is value for money versus other NCP car parks nearby.
Great views from the superior rooms, free tea and coffee in the rooms, plus wifi, it is certainly a hotel I will use again when visiting Nottingham.

Stayed: December 2017

This place is very up market in many ways but unfortunately our room (15) was very small & other than sitting on the bed you have nowhere to have your tea (desk in corner with 1 chair) so lovely place which is well run & managed (all staff wonderful) but lacking in having a table with chairs to sit & look out of the window with your tea etc which makes it uncomfortable & in fact for people with standing & sitting issues it would be very uncomfortable for them. We tried to book a meal but due to it being New Years Eve it must have got booked very quickly & was full as you can imagine so that was a shame but hope to dine on our next visit. Breakfast was of an outstanding quality & restaurant staff were totally professional & friendly. No issues in parking the car & well worth the cost for safety & convenience as we did see various vehicles on the road that had been issued parking tickets so be aware!!. Overall other than table & 2 chairs this is a wonderful place & thank you to Adam & indeed all the staff. M&K (Derbys)

Room Tip: Rooms facing the gardens seem to have good views over the city.

Stayed for a Saturday night whilst visiting family in Nottingham. Welcoming reception on arrival, nice room, not big but clean and well furnished, had drinks in the bar and then headed out into Nottingham for dinner. It's a great location in the City with restaurants and shopping within a couple of minutes. Not cheap like the chain hotels but worth the extra. Only grumble is having to pay extra for parking, I expect that when staying at a travelogue type hotel but not somewhere more upmarket.
