Description: "Recommended as one of the best tapas bars in Britain" (The Observer) and it's not hard to see why. Step through the door into a place somewhere between Seville and Marrakesh, and lose yourself. The attention to detail from decor to menu is outstanding! Jerez by the glass, plates of Jamon Iberico and Manchego cheese, and that's just to start you off. Don't miss this gem of Oxford

We were a party of three, arrived absolutely soaking wet after getting caught in a thunderstorm the staff handed my son a towel and were very welcoming. The restaurant is decorated in Turkish/ Moroccan style with cushions and comfortable seating areas it has a very nice calm atmosphere. As well as plenty of tables there is also a cocktail . We had hot drinks to start with to warm up after we were drenched the mint tea was delicious. We ordered cocktails which were also delicious. The food was tapas style North African/ Spanish style served in small bowls to share. We ordered quite a variety and it was absolutely delicious! We the ordered puddings to share which were equally really excellent! Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We watched as a very large party of demanding people walked in and started rearranging the tables to accommodate the large party. She was very patient and helpful to them also. The restaurant got very busy but the waitress remained friendly and very efficient and calm she is a credit to the business! The Kazbar seems very popular place it is my first visit to this restaurant and it was by far one of the best relaxing lunchtimes I have had in Oxford for a very long time. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. My son and daughters visit there a great deal and have been telling me about it for a while. Sum up in one word: Excellent!

Really unique experience.
Super staff
Really authentic décor without being shabby or uncared for. Such a relaxed and unique environment. Really beautiful place.
Brilliant authentic food - but something for everyone and the food descriptions being in English was really important.
I would recommend you go a little out of your comfort zone to have something you wouldn't normally have - because its likely to be delicious and so affordable! Everything is so good!
Be careful of the sangria - stronger than it tastes!! It's great!

Would recommend! So So So So Soooo nice. Please visit if you are nearby.

The Kazbar is always hiving with people, yet it manages to maintain its relaxed atmosphere. They make great cocktails, but also great tapas food. It is a must in Oxford, especially during long, hot, summer nights.

There are a wealth of great places to eat on the Cowley Road in Oxford and you can add this one to the list. If you're in Oxford wander out of the town centre (which is mainly chains) for fifteen minutes and you'll find yourself here. It's a mix of Spanish and North African - both in terms of décor and food - so the menu has mix of both cuisines. We opted for the latter, beef and chickpea stew, chickpeas with butternut squash, Baba ghanoush, hummus, bread (lovely but not pittas), sausages and grilled veg. All was delicious - my only criticism would be for us to have had pittas with our dips as that would be more in keeping. We shared some churros for pudding and with a couple of Mahous, a Diet Coke and a peppermint tea it was only £40.
