Came with a group of friends for a Christmas night out.
We had a pleasant Christmas menu, drinks were reasonably priced and the comedy was great.
Glad we were not sat at the very front as was VERY close the the action, felt at lot safer from our back row seats.
We has minor issue with the booking but the staff were very helpful and worked to resolve.
Have always had a great night when visiting this venue. Food and drink is cheap and cheerful. Staff are always extremely helpful and friendly.
Does what it says on the tin... Great comedy last weekend, cheap beer, decent food. Finished around 10.30pm so perfect to head on out to enjoy your night.
There were 11 of us at the Glee club for a stag party and we had a smashing time. The food was good, the beer was good and the acts were hilarious! Everyone really enjoyed the evening.
I always enjoyed a trip to the Glee Club when I lived in Nottingham to see up and coming stand up comics. I thought I'd give the Oxford one a spin for a change. The venue is in a convenient location, and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately there is no bar until you enter the performance area/room, meaning you have to queue up the stairs and once you're admitted and taken to your seats, there is a big rush to the one bar with just a few staff to get drinks and food. The food is not great quality, and is definitely overpriced, as is the drink. This wouldn't be a problem if the food was good and the drinks on offer, but I detest paying over the odds for food that I could make better myself in five minutes at home.
Chose to visit this comedy club after reading reviews and looking for something to do on an evening out visiting Oxford, with girlfriends. We booked tickets in advance online. Arrived, ordered wine and food (tasty enough, fair price). Good comedians, enjoyable evening. There is a club downstairs that you have automatic entrance to - but as 40+ somethings the music wasn't to our taste, so we enjoyed the outside seating and returned to our hotel.
