A delightful place with well-marked paths, friendly faces and free amenities. Parking is available either on the road or in their free car park. Several accesses are available for walkers, all clearly signposted with the toad name destination. This was a great choice for our dog on the hottest day of the year: lots of cover, an ambling stream for her to play in and adjoining fields to run round. Only downside is if man’s best friend has a call of nature, the only bin we could find was back at the start, near the cafe.
Lots of seating at the cafe, good choice of food and drink for all.
Must remember this is here and visit more often!

I attended the introduction to Blacksmithing day-long course.
Fay was the organiser - very welcoming and professional.
David and Iain were the course tutors - knowledgeable, skilled, plainly experienced, inspirational, relaxed, humourous, patient and approachable.

Two items made at a relaxed pace.
This course is really suitable for both men and women - it all technique and not hard work.

Well done David, Iain and Fay!

I could spend all day walking around these woods listening to the birdsong. Even after the recent poor weather the bulk of the paths were in good nick and one of the beauties of these woods lies in the trees themselves. They have such character and age, this is not a manufactured wood but one formed naturally over years and years.
The fenced off bird sanctuary in the woods offers protection from enthusiastic dogs and we were lucky enough to see a good number of herons which are nesting in the tree tops.
Rounded off with a cuppa and cake at the cafe in the middle of the woods - perfect!

You must visit! There are multiple trails, all of which are clearly marked and signed so you won't get lost. Some people go running, others stroll and many are armed with bikes or prams. There's something for everyone.

Plenty of interesting things to see on the walk, and came across a little cafe with outdoor & indoor seating, which would be lovely in summer. . Information leaflets . Free car parking.
