Great pub on a great position. A nice mix of pub and restaurant with a decent coffee and beer selection. Just had a fish finger sandwich for a real change, lovely and tasty and with a little salad, decent bread and a pile of chips it hit the mark. Not eaten a full meal but what I saw looked good. Well worth popping in if you pass by.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave your review. Glad you enjoyed the Fish Finger sandwich, it's been a big hit since we added it to the menu last year - simple but effective!.

Hope to see you again,

Steve

We stayed here for one very foggy night the whole experience was one I would like to repeat again, the staff checking us in were very friendly, the room was warm and clean and the food served excellent the owner should be very proud of their staff..

Room Tip: Choose off the road as they deliver the beer early in the morning and busy road during the morning rush hour

Hi Denise,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. It's a shame it was so foggy during your stay - the views are amazing on a clear day, even from the roadside rooms. The fog does add a bit of an eerie "magic" though!

Thanks again for your review, we hope to see you again soon

Stayed at the Norfolk Arms for one night over October half term. Reasonable price for the 3 of us with the added bonus of a proper, welcoming pub downstairs where we had a lovely meal and took part in the weekly pub quiz. The rooms were simply furnished and the bathroom had recently been refurbished and was very smart. Breakfast was more than adequate for our needs. So much better than a boring, corporate Travelodge.

Hi Jules,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review, it's much appreciated.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and the quiz. Our quiz takes place every Wednesday night in the main bar with some great prizes up for grabs (including big money "Irish Bingo"!)

Thanks again for your kind words, we hope to see you again soon

Upon ordering both food and drinks, staff appeared to be quite blunt. As it is a busy Sunday afternoon this can be forgiven. However, despite repeating one of the meals on our order several times when ordering, a spicy chicken burger, a mixed bean burger arrived at the table.

Again this in itself is forgivable but the waiting staff tried to accuse us we were in the wrong when asking for a replacement burger to be served. I find it difficult to fathom why we would deliberately order the wrong burger.

No apologises were given at any stage, rather disappointing we have travelled an hour to get here upon recommendation by family.

On the other hand, food is above average for pub grub and great views over Sheffield.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

I would like to apologise for your unsatisfactory visit to The Norfolk Arms. We aim to deliver a consistently enjoyable experience for our guests and it is disappointing to learn that this was not the case when you visited yesterday.

I have spoken to some of the team who were on duty during yesterday’s shift and it seems there was a misunderstanding regarding your order for which I can now only apologise.
We always aim to rectify situations, especially if there has been a misunderstanding or error, but it seems that on this occasion the issue was not dealt with appropriately.

We are also disappointed that you felt a member, or members of our team were blunt. Our staff are generally regarded as being helpful and friendly and we are proud of this reputation they have created.
Despite the fact it was busy most of our staff are experienced enough to deal with this and would normally remain calm under pressure. Unfortunately this does not appear to have been the case on Sunday, for which I again apologise. We will look into the circumstances of this incident and try to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Apologies once more and thank you again for leaving a review.

We stayed one night as we were going to the Dog Racing Track at Owlerton Stadium.

Our room was in the annex at the rear of the hotel and was beautiful. Extremely large and comfortable bed with all of the expected facilities, tea, coffee etc. The room was lovely and warm and of an excellent size. Disabled facilities also in this room and would be perfect for anyone who requires these facilities. The views from the room were lovely over the countryside.

The pub is a typical country pub and extremely welcoming. The menu looked very reasonable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is also a "dog friendly" pub.

Plenty of car parking and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this hotel.
