Called in without a reservation on Wednesday lunchtime and receive a warm and friendly welcome. Our waiter was pleasant, attentive and most professional. I ordered moules - frites with baguette soda bread. Amazing. Best mussels outside of France. Dessert offered too many choices but finally went for the tarte aux pommes - it could have come from Normandy. My wife chose the tarte au citron which was delicious, and she is an expert on this dessert.
We will certainly return in the near future.
Thank you Cote.

Having recently been at one of the Cote Brasserie's branches in London I decided to try the one in Newcastle and was not disappointed. It opens for breakfast and serves meals throughout the day including a set 'early bird' early evening menu. The vegetarian risotto was excellent and the menu caters for most tastes and dietary needs. Prices are fair for good quality food and service was excellent - friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very well located for the centre of town, just a short walk down from Monument in the direction of Central station.

Up to 7pm this restaurant will give you two course for £11.50 which makes it very good if you are going to a gig or the theatre. Eight of us ate here and all eight thoroughly enjoyed both courses. Good quality food!

We visited without a booking for my dad's 75th birthday. The restaurant is really lovely and the staff were exceptionally helpful. We ate off the special menu and have to say that the food was delicious and really good value for the price.

I asked our waiter (Houman, hope I've spelt this correctly) if they would mind putting the candles I had brought into a dessert which they said was no problem. Whilst we were deciding which dessert to pick, the staff came over singing Happy Birthday, with a cake that they had provided themselves. To say I was blown away at such a lovely gesture is an understatement, it was a truly lovely touch and made my dad feel very special.

All the staff we encountered in the restaurant were really lovely, seems the place prides itself on good customer service, and we will definitely be returning, with great service and delicious food, why would we not!! Highly recommend a visit!! Thanks again Houman and all the staff xx

I visited Côte for lunch with two friends. Things got off to a bad start when the first three wines on the list were unavailable, as were a starter and a main course of duck confit on the Prestige fixed price lunch menu. Sensing our disappointment our waitress was able to offer a more expensive wine at the same price as one of the unavailable wines and a more expensive duck dish from the à la carte menu. We enjoyed the alternatives offered and when the bill came the wine and our coffees had not been included - a pleasing and welcome gesture. Full marks to the initiative of our charming and helpful waitress.
