Review of Simla Restaurant

Simla Restaurant
Price range: US$0 - US$16
Cuisines: Indian
Description: Stylish Indian, high quality cuisine in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Many will be familiar with the original Simla restaurant which has been within our family since 1981. The Simla has now re-opened, totally renovated with a refreshed look and feel and an updated menu. Our cuisine harks back to long established and fresh ways of preparing dishes without any pretense or gimmicks. The menu is carefully crafted and reflects our deep appreciation of historically significant dishes from throughout the Indian subcontinent.

I took my girlfriend to Simla. We got a really warm welcoming when we first arrived, the deco is beautiful inside and very cosy. The atmosphere was warm and very friendly, also the service from the staff was second to none, they were very polite and very friendly. The staff also made sure you didn't want for nothing. The food was absolutely beautiful and really good value for money. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves a good Indians. Definitely going back again!

We Highly recommend Simla to anybody that wants a first class curry. The poppadom bowl was a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed my trio starter, it was cooked to perfection and it was very tasty. My partner said the scallops were top quality too. I loved my chicken tikka, the meat was fantastic quality and the curry was made with the finest of ingredients. All of the staff team were welcoming and we had a wonderful evening. We will be returning to this beautiful restaurant very soon.
Thank you again Abdul for looking after us so well!

We came across this restaurant on tripadvisor, seeing how highly rated it was we had to try it.
It's essential to book here, trying to get a table wasn't the easiest, but that just shows the popularity of this restaurant.
It's such a cute place, small but well presented.
The service was fast and friendly and the food was incredible.
I would 100% eat here again.

Simla has been around for a long time - however the restaurant decor is bang up to date with first class service and delicious food. The portions are a good size but everything also came very well presented - in some restaurants you don’t get both. They have a new gin cocktail drinks menu but of course you have to have Indian beer - just wouldn’t be a curry without it. Every dish was excellent - flavoursome and spicy without blowing your head off. We had a fantastic evening - the restaurant has a great vibe and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We’ll be back soon!
