Fabulous selection of food, wine and beer at this little gem tucked away behind university business school. From tempura prawns to beef skewers with black bean - too many delicious dishes to choose from on the 3 tapas for 12 pounds menu. Fantastic quality at a great price. And leave room for hearty portion of Northumberland cheeses. I was in back in Newcastle visiting from New Zealand and this pub was a brilliant place for a long lunch with family.

Another winner from Mark/Electric East. ..great pub and upstairs restaurant with fantastic food at great prices...bit difficult to find due to all the redevelopment around but definitely worth the hunt.
Will definitely be back for lunch and try the evening menu/meal.

We had been here before for a few drinks but on sunday we tried the food for the first time. After a recomendation by a friend we booked a table for sunday lunch. I was delighted to see there was a varied menu and not just your regular sunday dinner on offer.. Though that looked lovely too!.. I had a belly pork starter then a chicken skewer main. Both were delicious and just the right portion size. What's more it was two courses for only £15!.. Possibly the best selection and variety for an offer of this type in newcastle. Great value, great quality.. Highly recommended..

We had been meaning to try this new venture for some time and were not disappointed. Great decor and welcome as we arrived. The menu was really good a mix of the classics and some asian food. Tempura prawns and the lamb re dang curry were stand out. Good service, food and atmosphere. Another winner

10 of us went for a meal lastnight and it was brilliant, food was amazing, excellent variety on the menu, service was lovely and the overall atmosphere of the pub was cracking. Really lovely night, we will definitely be coming again. Every single one of us has raved about what we ate and what a good night it was.
