Visited here on Thursday evening with a friend before a show at Town Hall. My immediate impression is that i liked it much more than i ever did Nosh n Quaff. It's not a major difference in decor - it's just better to have bar downstairs and restaurant up stairs.
We were greeted warmly by the waiting staff. Service throughout was attentive and pleasant if a little slow. The waitress did explain she was in training which is fine so we explained we needed to be at the show which started at 7.30pm and for this reason, we ordered main courses only. Having placed order at 6.40pm, the food took over 30 minutes to come out which meant we had to rush it a bit which was a pity.
Food - good choice of mains. we didn't look at the rest of the menu. i had the creole sea bass (excellent) and friend had chicken (very good).
Drinks - wine list s good but some of the options seemed pretty expensive. Wines by the glass were limited and limited even further by the Muscadet being unavailable.. This meant we had to choose another option so drinks didn't arrive until half way through the main course.
Over all - this is a massive improvement on its predecessor. if they iron out the service issues, it will be a great addition to the Birmingham dining scene. i will definitely return.
