Not a prententious hotel but a lovely room with our own french windows onto a patio. The room was very much in the mode of Premier Inn ,staff very friendly.
Breakfast was buffet style ,not fancy but ok.
Best part was the perfect location for any events at Stoneleigh Park and the fact the dog can come with you!

Room Tip: Worth extra for the garden rooms.

I stayed at this hotel for one night in February whilst attending the Race Retro show. To best visualize this hotel, think Premier Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast was very good (good full English) from the buffet. It is not quite as good as the usual Premier Inns I stay at (and it was certainly a good 20% more expensive) but that is splitting hairs a bit.
I would be happy to stay at this hotel again, particularly as it is so convenient for the Stoneleigh Park show ground. My biggest criticism is that the signposting for the hotel is practically nonexistent. Even at the entrance to the show ground it is difficult to see where the hotel is. Sign posting around the grounds is very small and very difficult to see after dark.

Room Tip: Ground Floor Garden Room

After a long day I really didn't want to explore local eateries.
I had the Thai Bites, followed by chefs special Lamb Rogan Josh. Thai Bites at £5.95 per portion for 3 tiny nuggets is pretty pathetic. Tasted like generic frozen junk from where Mum goes. The main course may well have been Rogan Josh, just not in this universe
Nasty sweet, and far too salty. I ate it because I was hungry, I didn't want a confrontation so didn't make a big deal of it
Mind you I wasn't asked if I'd enjoyed it.

The TV is about the same size as the average laptop and was in locked down hotel mode. To the extent you couldn't even see the TV guide. A visit to Mr Google soon got that sorted. Sadly it's still barely visible from the bed.

Let's hope breakfast is an improvement.

Pay the extra tenner and stay at a Prem.Inn.
Staff on reception very pleasant.

Negatives

1. Evening meal courses served instantly, starter was at the table before even sitting down likely to be reheated food.
2. Was not warned about my choice of bottled beers ordered from the bar fridge being alcohol free.
3. Room had windows wide open when entering so room was extremely cold even with heating on full.
4. Tea and coffee tray had hairs on it.
5. Fire escape light on in the room, interrupting sleep pattern.
6. Tv with very limited to no signal.
7. Extremely limited choices for breakfast buffet.
8. Wasn't asked how my stay was when checking out to provide feedback.

Positives
1. Shower was very powerful.

This is clean but very basic hotel, don’t expect any frills in the room. The layout with the long corridors makes it rather gloomy and on the night I stayed the wind howled down it. Also smells a bit of cleaning fluid, which I guess shows it’s clean? Breakfast is a bit hit and miss. Reception staff very welcoming.
