Where to start..

Food: All the food was quite awful. The chicken in almost everything was stringy and rubbery with a strange taste. Currys had been mixed together (through no fault of staff but from customers), but not once was an attempt made to make a fresh batch. Quite a few things were cold and just tasted stale. If the food itself wasn't off putting enough, a staff member had the audacity to walk through the kitchen to take the bins out. It smelt better then the food at least. A member of the party also found rust in a metal pot the desserts were kept in, although the manager said he believed this was from when they serve creme brulees and use a blow torch. This would make sense, but I am not sure they have ever served creme brulees having friends been before so quite possibly a lie. PS do not order anything to your table. For example we ordered the chicken shwarma with hummus and mayonnaise etc, a stringy brown chicken in pitta bread arrived.

Service: Service was terrible from start to finish. Walked through the door late arriving to a party of 21, and waited fifteen minuites for the bar man to return to the bar. God knows where he was. After finally getting served, my family then waited at the bar to get a second round of drinks. When asking the lady on the check in/reception, she said said 'someone is coming' very disinterested, then someone finally arrived. Again, all staff disinterested. Our waiter quite frankly had no idea what he was doing, in a conversation which can only be described as few words but way too much eye contact - I felt very awkward. He clearly had no service skills. I witnessed a kitchen staff member shove another staff member amidst an argument. Staff were ignorant when called over and got every single order incorrect or forgot to put it through. Not sure how you forget, your hardly over worked at a quiet buffet?

Payment: I did not raise the complaints I had since it was my family members birthday and the terrible waiter had tried his best. However, after being charged the ridiculous price of 17.99(?), WITH AN UN OPTIONAL SERVICE TIP placed on the bill without my consent I was outraged. A tip for what exactly? I stated to the manager this was unacceptable, as you cannot put a tip on a bill without consent when it states on the reciept it was an 'optional service charge' as I would NOT have left a tip after tonight. He was completely rude and threw the change at me from the till. I tried explaining the money was not wanted (it was £1.60 (?)), it was the principle of not asking to leave a tip. They had charged every individual for gratuity without consent. He was completely uninterested and just handed me the receipt. Disgusting behaviour from a manager, should not be in this line of work.

Conclusion: Do not eat at this restaurant it really is vile from service to food to hygiene. Staff are all clearly very under experienced and under qualified.

Red Hot has become a favourite for a few of my family members due to the wide selection of food - it's a great choice if you all like different things. In my opinion, the only decent things are the salads and the desserts. The curries, Chinese food, etc. are very bland and tasteless and some of the meat is very fatty and unpleasant. The desserts are very good however and there is lots to choose from.

From entering to leaving we had value for money. The food was excellent and this was matched by the service. The food was diverse and very tasty. Finishing off with yum yum deserts. You are spoiled for choice. If you enter hungry you will not leave hungry. I can also highly recommend the chutneys (especially the coconut chutney i enjoyed it that much i asked the chef for the recipe). Thankyou to all
