Indoor shopping centre, of very modern construction, the glass roof is fabulous. Contains many shops and restaurants. Well done Leeds Council.
The Trinity Quarter opened in March 2013 & has since helped breathe new life into an area of the city centre that was once somewhat shabby & neglected. The grand feature of the Trinity Quarter is a large glass dome that covers the main atrium. Shops are open till 8 pm most nights whilst bars, restaurants & other leisure facilities open till around midnight & possibly later.
I thought I would write this in response to all the critisism. I have lived in a few cities in the UK including London and its praised Westfield. What I found at Trinity was a wonderful piece of town planning that is not the normal boring indoor shopping centre. It has linked up the briggate, adjoining streets and train station wonderfully. I always thought Leeds was overrated as a shopping centre, mostly because it felt such a trudge to get anywhere but now no longer. I commend Leeds council for allowing this, a proper new shopping street, not a box with shops in it.
I visit Leeds often enough, and have always loved the city centre. The new shopping centre has only added a few new shops to an already impressive town. One the downside the place is cold! For a shopping centre up north it would have been good to have some heating!! Otherwise great place, many new restaurants and cafes too.
I'm amazed people are impressed by this to be honest
I've lived all my life in Leeds and always found the city centre shops perfect
This is a shopping centre (I use the word centre lightly) that Leeds didn't really need
Most of the shops in there, were or are, already in the town centre.
The only decent addition is the Apple store
Yes it's cold but I won't moan about that, as essentially it is just an open space with a fancy roof
I have no real need, or urge to go here again
I hate the white rose with a passion, but it beats this place
If I want a decent shopping centre with better shops, I would rather drive to the Trafford Centre
I was expecting an actuall shopping centre with doors but this is just a free open space with a fancy glass roof. There are some new shops and some of the usual retailers have opened up shops in the area. Freezing in the cold, but I can imagine It being great in the summer. Leeds is my go to place to shop so I will most likely pass through here again but only because I live so close.
