This house may not be big but it is very well presented with a delightful 18th Century Wine glass collection, very pretty garden which houses the tea room.

This N.T. property is small compared to the grand stately homes that the N.T. usually buy BUT it is surprisingly good. Large for a town house, its location on the Cathedral Green with its lovely secluded private garden feels warm and lived-in when you enter. Each room has its own charm, four up and four down, you can 'feel' the love it has been shown by previous owners and the N.T. have looked after it and furnished it with some amazing items of furniture and soft furnishings. The Guides are well versed in its history and I'd recommend seeing it after your visit to the Cathedral.

Went there as part of a trip and wasn't amazed at all - guess it's not for everyone. It's a fancy house bascially, with highly decorated rooms and furnishings.

We loved this place - somewhere you can imagine as a home .....

Small and a half hour [ hour at the most] visit required - plus coffee shop...........somewhere to pop in whilst in Salisbury, rather than a destination in its own right. Beautifully furnished. Knowledgeable staff.

As a national trust member we went to see the secrets of the house. Beautiful upkeep of the property with stunning show pieces. However was disappointed in the lack of information in regards to the house role in Salisbury, however it was still very interesting. The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful, however the staff here were some of the nicest we met over many national trust sites. Was a worthwhile visit.
