We visited early evening and asked for a table for 3. There was lots of space in the restaurant with many tables free and despite asking to sit at a quiet table, we were shown to a table right in the middle of the restaurant. We asked to sit in a quieter spot at the side but received a mumbled explanation about how they (the staff) wanted to make it (the restaurant, presumably) look better so we would have to sit in the middle. We remained standing as the waitress promptly disappeared - we assumed she'd gone check if we could sit where we wanted - but after waiting for what seemed like an age, she didn't return! We walked out, passing her and other staff standing around by the till chatting. We only went there as we had a discount voucher emailed to us - in fact, we're bombarded with offers from Strada. Now I can see why the online arm has to try so hard - pity the staff in the restaurant aren't a little more communicative and accommodating. We enjoyed a great meal just down the road in Salisbury at Pizza Express where the food was good and the staff were friendly.

Salisbury's Strada is excellently situated in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the main car park. We met family for a midweek catch-up meal. The restaurant was comfortably busy, with a wide range of ages enjoying themselves. Our waitress was attentive without being pushy, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.
We each had starters and a main course - dessert would have been greedy. We had a range of pizzas and chicken dishes for mains, and all were very good. It was a very pleasant night out, with good company and good food. The benefit of a "25% off food" voucher made it an even better night. We would certainly return.

I have had this 'Gourmet Card' thing (as a Lloyds bank customer) a few months now and am starting putting it to good use. So as my daughter and I were visiting Salisbury I thought we could check out which places took the card. There were quite a few but we agreed an Italian for lunch would be just the ticket.

The Strada, in Market Place, looks a little nondescript from the outside and the decor inside is quite modern and cold. However the service was warm and friendly. There was an excellent choice on the menu - so often it's just pizza or pasta. My daughter ordered the Italian style burger and I went for the chicken and mushroom risotto. While waiting for the food to arrive, which wasn't long, I enjoyed an excellent glass of merlot (or 2).

The food was super - no complaints at all. And, with £10 off the bill (because of the gourmet card) we both felt it turned a really good experience into an excellent one.

The service was great and we did arrive quite late (after a trip to the cinema). Our food came out quite cold and, as we had pizzas, they had gone quite chewy and were hard to eat.
The dining area had a nice atmosphere, however, the restaurant does appear to have a heating problem (with portable heaters dotted around the place!)

Ate here when we were staying in Salisbury. Like the other chain Italians (Zizzi, Ask) Strada never seems to dissapoint. Obviously as mid week make sure you use a voucher to make it reasonable. The service was excellent and the food was amazing !
