Outstanding from the beginning to end of our stay. Superb breakfast, with the food trays replenished regularly. Very friendly, polite, professional and helpful staff. The room was spotless and warm and airy. Only fault was shower water was not as hot as expected. All in all a fantastic stay. Will definitely return.

Our stay was short however, it was excellent. Location is phenomenal, food was excellent, the room was beautiful. I found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The check in details when you have a car were a little confusing and could have been clearer but this was still a five star stay for me and my fiancee.

Booked this hotel for 2 nights using Tesco hotel vouchers (it would have been pretty expensive without these) with our main aim being a visit to Windsor Castle. It is ideally situated for this; just a 2 minute walk away. We were upgraded from a standard room to what appeared to be an ‘accessible’ room. We were more than happy with the upgrade as the room was spacious with a 6 foot bed. I’m not sure how a disabled person would have managed to get into the bath however but this wasn’t a problem for us, although I did find the bath slippery when showering. I did ask for a rubber non slip mat and a brand new one was provided so we had no complaints about the service and the staff were very friendly (a special mention for the lovely man from housekeeping/maintenance). Breakfast was okay but I’ve always had freshly cooked breakfasts in other Macdonald hotels (that said, you could order one but that didn’t seem to be encouraged). The cost of parking was extortionate at £39 per night but I guess you’re a captive audience and I expect the hotel usually attracts moneyed tourists and conference attendees not Brits using Tesco vouchers! Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay.
