I stayed here for 2 nights from Mon 23rd Jan as a solo business traveller in a superior room.

The location is great, car park a bit of a squeeze to get into from the road but it’s Windsor and space is minimal!

Check is was good, the lady was helpful and bubbly. Room was really nice, lovely bed, bathroom with a full bath and separate shower. I was quite concerned before arriving after seeing some of the rooms were quite small but I did notice afterwards that they do advertise the smaller rooms as just that so as not to deceive anyone. My room was a reasonable size and had everything I needed.

I went down for dinner that evening and was offered a complimentary drink by a lovely lady who could not have been more helpful. When I asked for wine she knew off the top of her head exactly what rose wines they had, she brought me a menu and advised there were no sea bass that night. My view is that the menu is very limited but I ordered a steak and it was very nice. Breakfast in the morning g was lovely and the same lady served me and was super helpful.

The second evening I had a very different experience. I arrived at the car park and no one was answering the buzzer. This is quite difficult as you have to park in the middle of a narrow road until you turn into the car park meaning you are blocking traffic both ways. When I got in to the hotel there was no one in reception and no one in the bar area. I wanted to grab a glass of wine and go upstairs for my final zoom meeting of the day but no one was available so I went straight to my room only to find the key card didn’t work. Back downstairs I went and again there was no one around. After calling out I was greeted by a lady who said she had to go get another lady to help sort my keycard out. Eventually the card is sorted and I rush upstairs to join a meeting I should have been in 10 minutes earlier.

After my meeting I went back downstairs to the bar to order food. Again no one was around. After calling out I ordered a glass of Grenache rose wine which I had had the previous evening. The waitress came back to me and asked me if I could show her which wine was the Grenache in the fridge. I showed her which one and sat down only to receive a totally different wine, not sure how it happened but it did.

I then asked for a menu and if the sea bass was on that night to which I was told it was. 10 minutes later she came back to me to say it wasn’t in again. This left me stuck, I’m not a burger fan or Mac n cheese fan and there was very little else available so I again went for steak. I took my food upstairs and ate there and left the wine.

The following morning the original lady was back for breakfast and normality was resumed.

This is a nice hotel but the staff on the 2nd night really let it down, there was never anyone available and they just weren’t as welcoming as the staff working on my first night. I would also change the menu a bit and add a little more choice.

I would definitely stay again, in the hope all the staff were up to the same standard as those who were on my first night.

Room tip: If you don’t like small rooms book the superior ones which are a good size. They are all advertised correctly.

We stayed for two nights, the staff were really friendly. Especially Sarah, who served us our complimentary drink on arrival & served us at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were small. However, everything that was required was there. The bathroom was lovely, water hot & fluffy towels. The location was great, within walking distance to Windsor Castle shops & restaurants.

We stayed 3 night at the Adelaide over Christmas. It was purely a bedroom as we were visiting daughter who lives locally and there was room at the inn. Receptionist, Sara, was very bubbly and helpful as were all the staff we encountered.
Bedroom was very comfortable, great shower. Only ate breakfast there where there was good selection of cooked and dry breakfast options. Had porridge on the last day which could have done with a little longer in the pan but I was feeling a bit under the weather by then with the lurgy.
It wasn’t cheap at £171 a night but it was Christmas

First things first, the staff we met were lovely, we saw two different receptionists, a bar man and a couple of breakfast staff, all with very good customer service. Hotel is nicely decorated and in a really good location, 20 minute walk into town/Windsor Castle. Breakfast was good (full english) The not so goods were the size of the room, the frosting on the windows which means there is no view and felt a bit claustrophobic, (if we wanted privacy we could have pulled the curtains, no need for the frosting) The bathroom needed attention, shower not working properly. Biggest gripe was the cost of the car parking £20 per night added a lot onto the cost of the stay.. I'll take the blame for not doing my research before we went because I now know there are plenty of cheaper (even free) options around the location. I can't think that I've ever paid car parking on-site at any Hotel I've stayed at, so bear this in mind before you book

Room tip: Be aware of the parking charges, maybe look for alternative parking

Many thanks for your review following your recent stay with us.

I am delighted that you found the staff and customer service very good.

Your comments regarding the room has been noted and we do appreciate any negative feedback. We do have 4 different standards of double rooms to choose from depending on the size you are looking for, from cosy double to junior suite.

With regards to our car parking, our guests are usually very happy to find a hotel with car parking on site. You are correct that some of the pay and display car parks may be a better price, but they are also 10-15 minute walk away.

I am not aware of any free parking in Windsor, but if you do know somewhere, then please do let me know as would be very helpful to advise guests when we are fully booked in our car park.

Kindest regards
