“Nice but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2013

The mrs, me and the 2 kids (13 and 6) styed in the hotel for 1 night with 2 days in the park.

Customer srevice was really good, we had our luggage held for us as soon as we arrived at the hotel so we could jump into the park.

We did get advised to book up in the bricks restaurant for dinner as it would be really busy and probably wouldn't be able to sit down if we had no reservation.
Doing so and getting down we didnt realise until we sat down that the buffet meal was 20 for adults and 8 for the kids, it was nearly 60 pounds for the family to eat which wasn't a great spread but filled the void.
Anyone that likes dessert had better look for somewhere else as they were really poor

The skyline bar opposite serves food such as burgers and the like which would have been our choice if we knew about it as the price was much better.

The play area outside was open for the kids to play in whilst we relaxed in the sun.

With the breakfast in the bricks restaurant i would advise in getting down there before 8:30 as it gets really busy from this point onwards, the buffet style food again was dissapointing but filled the gaps.

The room itself was lovely for the kids and they had a great time in there, but compared to the travel lodge we stayed in the night before the only difference was the lego in the room and seperate srea for the kids beds.

Over all we done it for the kids and they enjoyed themselves but will definitely not be staying there again.

Stayed here for 1 night last week as I was on a team meeting. Fun hotel. Loved the pirate rooms. Different. Shame the kids were t with me. They would have loved it. Treasure chest. Bunk beds. Funky carpets.

Definitely a family hotel.

This was our second stay at The Legoland Resort Hotel and although we knew what to expect so didn't have the wow factor of first time round, it was still a very enjoyable visit.
The staff in the hotel are great - uniformly friendly and helpful and always plenty of them around. We also noticed that there is a really nice mix of staff - different ages from young to old, gender and race. Seems like a small point but actually an important aspect in creating the particular atmosphere in the Hotel.
The rooms are comfortable (air con, lovely beds, well appointed bathroom), really well laid out for families with the separate area for children and fun features in the 'standard' rooms.
A couple of new discoveries for our second visit were the new outdoor play area which stays open till 9pm - great, and you can get a bowl of chips in the Skyline Bar for £2! They're not on the menu you just have to ask!
Swimming pool/ splash area is great and well staffed. Water temperature spot on and the three times we used the facilities while we were there (Thursday and Friday evening, Saturday morning) was never too crowded.
Wonderful to be on site and be able to walk into the park in the morning, and particularly avoid the traffic jams on the way out! This was our fourth visit to Legoland and being onsite is a real perk.
Although lots and lots of positives for the standard of hotel, I don't feel the quality of the self-service breakfast is quite up to scratch. A couple of examples would be no fresh coffee - Nescafe coffee machine, one flavour fruit yogourt (Black cherry), prepacked cheeses (Babybel, red leicester, mild cheddar, Double Gloucester). Waffles and pancakes - but they're served cold! There's a fair bit of choice but the quality of food is very ordinary. I think I made the same comment last year and nothing had changed. If I'd paid the maximum room rate I certainly wouldn't have felt I was getting what I'd paid for.
My son (9) wants me to add that the Lego channel in the rooms is the same episodes on a loop - a bit disappointing for him!
Despite the niggles I would certainly recommend a stay - very fun and relaxing family break and top marks to the staff.

Room Tip: We stayed in the standard Pirate room - I'm not sure what extras you get in the more expensive r...

We looked at Legoland for a while and I had 2 4 1 to let's but I found a hotel and 2 day ticket for family of 4 that was great value at around 150 pounds. Kids and adults love experience and the pirate show that runs daily was an added bonus!!

Stayed with my partner and 2 children (1 & 3 year old boys). Booking was straightforward and Customer Services were efficient when I rang with some questions prior to our arrival.
Just walking up to the hotel and entering the reception area gave the children the WOW factor. Lots for them to see and do as we checked in.
The themed rooms were amazing. From the moment you stepped out of the lift, you were transported into a different world with wallpaper, carpets and lego statues echoing the theme in the hallways. My three year old was in awe as he walked into our Pirate room and realised that he had pirate bunk beds. In fact he stripped off and got dressed into his pyjamas there and then before we had even gone to dinner! The treasure hunt to find the free gift and the lego sculptures dotted around the room were really nice touches. The travel cot for my youngest was all set up and ready to go on arrival.
The public areas were well thought out and the playground outside was lovely. We ate at the buffet restaurant with a varied menu. Unfortunately, my son was too excited about his pirate bunk bed and asked to go to bed at 7.00 (this has never happened before!) so we missed the entertainment.
We were up early the following morning and made use of the pool and indoor splash park. Quite small but lots of different pieces of equipment and quiet that early in the morning.
Easy access to the park too. The only negative was that the lifts were quite slow but plenty to entertain you as you wait!
