We popped into Broadway for a day out and passed by the Horse and Hound. I looked at the menu posted and we entered. A typical pub busy on a Bank Holiday so I was worried about the service speed. I need not have worried. The food arrived in about 15 mins the presentation was excellent and all of the family were impressed by the quality of the food. I have to say my steak and ale pie was the best I have ever had. There was so much steak and the chips and peas were just perfect. Indeed we will be eating here in future rather than a very nice hotel down the road on our next trip to Broadway.

Being further along the High Street (at the 'back of the pack') than most other diners / restaurants - it does not appear to fill up so quickly - so one has never had a problem being served or seated.
A decent enough establishment - drink and food wise.

The choice of Real Ales be rather limited - twas ever thus here - having popped in a few times over the years. There was a choice of three - two of which were the more commonplace - settled for a pint of Mad Goose Pale Ale by Purity Brewery at 4.2%. It was alright - something different at least.
The choice of wines was reasonable, that said, one simply settled for a large glass of the House Red Merlot - it was fine.

The dining options were much as you would expect - and our choice was much as you might expect - by now ! The Steak - well done - was worth waiting for, and, we did have to wait.
Previous experience of Sunday lunch dining here was more 'artisan' - in that an on the day 'Roast' option was available - with all the usual trimmings. A simpler / fixed menu would appear to be the only option now - it was to our liking though.

Service was fine - from the young smart waiter, another older scruffier fella also helped out - the owner perhaps ?

The décor be much in keeping with the building - right down to a cobweb ! It be pleasant enough and comfortable enough also.

Niggles ? - Aye !... upon entering the dining room (to the left of the front door through an opening) you may find yourself being asked to take a different table from the one you choose - even if trade is quiet (and it was) - fortunately there be several options for two diners and plenty others for any more.

Having being disappointed with our trip to the Mount Inn, Broadway where after waiting c. 1hr we could get anyone to take our food order, we stopped here and enjoyed an excellent bar meal.

Menu selection was not vast, but food delivered on quality and value!
Service was friendly and efficient too

As we live in Broadway we try and use local pubs and restaurants whenever we can. Last Sunday was Mothers day so we went along with my wifes parents for lunch. The restuarant was pretty busy when we arrived but as we had previously booked our table was ready and waiting for us. Drinkwas were swiftly delivered to the table and we ordered our food. The menu was good and several of us couldn't decided which we liked best! We had an excellent meal and the service was great. It was a miserable day but with the fire going it was very cosy. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Having popped into the Horse and Hound for a quick drink and found everyone to be friendly, we opted to have a meal during the evening.
There is a dining room/restaurant but as it was quiet and there was a warm fire, we chose to sit in the bar.
The staff are friendly and helpful and drinks choices are fairly extensive.
The menu is fairly extensive but expect good " Pub Grub."
We chose tiger prawns in a chilli sauce and mushrooms with toast- both exquisite. While my wife had a burger, I opted for the lamb burger and, again, with fries and a salad, they were very good.
There is a dessert menu but we opted to stay by the welcoming fire with another drink.
The kitchen closes at 8.30pm which is a tad early and a minor downside is the number of people going in and out of the front door for a cigarette!
Maybe the latter could be addressed. Otherwise, well worth a visit if you're staying in Broadway!
