We stayed for a break in between xmas and new year. Really nice check in, lovely guy who helped us to our room with our bags. Requested a paper on arrival for our stay and we were delivered the wrong paper every day, no big deal but worth a mention. Breakfast good on day one, awful on day two. We ordered 3 coffees and one hot choc at 10, got them at 10.45, after we finished breakfast, I asked twice if they were coming and the lady who took the order was rude and said “they are coming” clearly they were not, as half an hour later they turned up. The younger members of staff have much more of an understanding of hospitality and seem very keen to help. Not good, dinner was nice but quite rushed.
The bar staff were very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the first and second night but found the third night tiresome. Nothing to do with the staff but more the other guests who tried to command the bar area holding conversations that you could really not ignore. Bit of a shame guests like this have to demand so much attention. Nice weekend, but not sure we would return.More
