Went here on the Saturday before bonfire night hoping to find somewhere to cater for a party of 8 that include a baby and we also had 2 dogs with us. Initially we went in and were told they weren’t serving food because of the fireworks but on our way out we noticed they were setting up some outside catering. After discussing with the owner we turned back around and got ourselves comfortable inside.

The food itself was decent enough and was a nice touch to be able to eat and watch the fireworks but clearly a money making opportunity and I don’t blame them for taking it!

The reason for 3 stars is because though friendly enough, the staff pouring drinks were let’s say “dizzy”. We asked for the game to be put on but nobody came back to let me know they don’t show sports. I had to ask again to find out

I would like to go back when it’s not bonfire and so busy and see what it’s like then

We only stayed the 1 night but found the room to be great, fully equipped with everything we needed. Management and staff were really friendly and helpful. The views from the room are amazing, would recommend to stay there.

Stayed in the twin room for a short break. Not a bad sized room. Previous reviews stated ensuite was in a wardrobe! . Personally I think it's an ingenious way of fitting in a small ensuite. Tea and coffee and kettle in room. Ample storage for a short break. Room was clean and warm. Great location overlooking the the Menai Straits over to Angelsey , and on the side of Caernarfon Castle. Breakfast was great and plenty of it. Friendly staff. Parking on site. Yes it's above a pub that serves food, so if you want complete quiet it's not for you as you can hear patrons downstairs until the pub closes and you can smell food cooking and hear the kitchen staff. But for the position of the place you can't fault it.

Popped in for a quick pint as we had seen on here it was pet friendly wasn't disappointed lovely pint and sandwich and a couple of friends for the dog.

Only gripe it says on the menu all sandwiches are served with salad coleslaw and chips.
We didn't get chips with any of the three sandwiches.
