Having got married at the Bryn Howel ten years ago, meant that this was the perfect location for us to celebrate ten years of marriage.
The place was exactly how we remembered. I can’t believe I had forgotten what a gem of a place this venue is in terms of its location. Beautiful views of the Vale of Llangollen, a really peaceful and relaxed setting, with friendly and approachable staff.
We dined in the restaurant that evening and have to say the food was to a very high standard. The sirloin steak in a garlic and herb butter served with potato dauphinois was to die for and was served with plenty of veg! The best meal we’ve had in a restaurant for a long time.
I’m not normally one to choose a dessert, but the barabrith bread and butter pudding, which was beautiful.
The hotel is definitely in need of updating, which I believe the current owners are working on.
I can highly recommend this venue if you’re looking to dine in a friendly and relaxed environment with beautiful food and equally beautiful views!

We cannot think of a better country house hotel if you seek a beautiful location with good access and a consistently high standard. The staff are friendly and efficient, the meals are first class and the rooms are clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could hope for. The attractive dining room overlooks the Llangollen Canal with the hills beyond to tempt you to explore the countryside. There is a choice of places of interest nearby.

Room Tip: Historical quirky or easily accessible modern, they have a wide range of rooms and will discuss with you a choice to meet your requirements.

We have just returned from a three day walking holiday which involved staying at the Bryn Howel Hotel for bed, breakfast and evening meal during the holiday. This is the possibly the 6th consecutive New Year we have done this and yet again we have found the food at the hotel to be excellent and the staff to be brilliant. Thanks to everyone for making our stay such a good one.

The food throughout our stay was first class breakfast & evening meal friendly waitresses
It is in an ideal position lovely to walk down the canal to Llangollen approx 45 min or to
Anglo welsh cruises in the other direction.

Have returned home after having enjoyed an excellent lunch. Meal was the best that we have had here. All the 3 courses were excellent and plentiful. Service of all staff very good and attentive. Lovely fresh flowers on the tables. Christmas decorations in the lounge and dining room "tasteful". Thank you to all staff, especially ones "behind the scenes!"
