We stayed in room 16, this is a good size room on the ground floor. The building creeks a lot so you are dependent on the people upstairs treading lightly if at all. But this is all part of staying in an old building not a modern soulless block.
Like a previous reviewer we to were unable to turn the heating down and I ended up leaving the double bed for a single next to the window which was opened as wide as possible all night in December (such a waste of heat).
The beds were comfortable, the hot chocolate welcome after our long walks as was the welcome port in the room.
The bathroom was clean with a good shower and quality towels.
Would be happy to return, but do recommend different controls on the heating.
The hotel offers free parking, but the spaces available are no where near sufficient for the 15 rooms so if you are there during a busy period get parked up early.
Great location in town.More
