Stayed here with my wife at the weekend. The hospitality and food were amazing. From checking in the lady in charge was so helpful and friendly it really made us feel at home. The food was excellent and although I like to think I can eat a lot, I was stuffed full on both nights and at breakfast. The drinks prices were also very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and i will definitely be staying here again.

We picked this hotel at random on the internet, and totally lucked out! Lovely hosts, relaxed atmosphere, great facilities and a warm welcome for our dog Lenny. The location couldn't be better, directly opposite a picturesque waterfall and right on the edge of Snowdonia's spectacular mountain range. To make the experience perfect, the chef at this hotel is super talented, and the above average dishes were sublime. I'd recommend this place to all, and we will certainly be returning.

Visited the Pont y Pair inn in Betswy y Coed late January for three nights and had a nice Meal in our Hotel the first night. Second night after a long day wanted some basic Pub Grub. Had a lovely greeting by the Land lady really friendly good wholesome food at good prices warm friendly atmosphere. Not many places open to eat in Betswy y Coed on a Monday this time of year glad we went.

I understand that Pont-y-Pair means Bridge of the Cauldron and the hotel is situated in the very heart of Betws-y-Coed right opposite the bridge that goes over the River Llugwy. It's position is perfect for exploring Snowdonia including the famous Swallow Falls - just up the road, which is why we chose it as our base for a long weekend. All the staff were really lovely and very friendly. Our room was very comfortable, fairly spacious, had good views to distant hills and forests and had everything we required including coffee and tea making facilities with biscuits which were replenished every day. The en suite was rather small but perfectly adequate. Breakfasts were provided to individual requirements and it was a very pleasant touch to have table service rather than having to help oneself at a buffet. We also enjoyed some tasty evening meals although if you are not a red meat eater the choice was just a bit limited. The hotel is an historic building and had several old pictures and artefacts which were of great interest. It is obviously popular with the locals as the bar and restaurant became very busy at the weekend. We were very fortunate to be offered the one parking space that was available but generally guests have to use on street parking or one of the local car parks. Overall our stay was very comfortable and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in what is a very competitively priced hotel.

Room Tip: Only rooms at the front have views.
