From the beginning to the end, a perfect experience. A beautiful decor that takes you to traditional tea rooms with all the comfort and functionality of a modern setting - we felt happy the moment we walked in. A very kind and attentive service, checking if everything was fine and if there was anything else we needed, without intruding. The afternoon tea just great, with a lovely mix of sandwiches, cakes, grapes - all fresh, tasty, and filling, with the best chocolate brownie I have ever eaten (I think I'll come back to buy a few pieces before leaving Brecon)! Our two dachshunds were very welcome too and received a bowl of water and a treat. A chat with the owner made us even more welcome. My only regret - that I won't be able to try other dishes as they all looked great. One more reason to go back to Brecon Beacons! Thank you The Dutchess Team for creating a space where we could have such a memorable beautiful experience!

What a wonderful tea room!
The decor is clean and bright in a mix of green and grey. A modern twist on a traditional tea shop.
The staff are really happy and helpful. Excellent service and great presentation. The vegan option was tasty with a good variety of sandwiches and cakes. They offered two choices of non-dairy milk - oat and soya.
The seating is comfortable and the tea set is by a designer called Katie Alice, so I'm going to check out her website!
I highly recommend this delightful café.

Visited today for lunch after a walk up Pen y Fan. We were a bit damp and tired so the bright and cheerful interior was very pleasing. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Unfortunately the soup of the day had sold out but that’s clearly testament to how popular it was. We visited near the end of lunch service so to be expected. Coffees were excellent. Our food, jacket potato with Red Leicester and bacon along with loaded fries was served very quickly and piping hot. Portion sizes were plentiful and everything tasted delicious. Would highly recommend and will visit again next time we return. Da iawn team.

I only had a take away coffee here today, but recived better and more pleasant service than when spending loads of money some places - and that includes buying stuff like a car!!
Well done to the young staff working here
